Each evening of the Odyssey comes alive with programs celebrating the history, ecology, and culture of the Allegheny River corridor. Programs will be professionally filmed and shared online as free public educational resources — part of a lasting legacy honoring America's 250th anniversary.

SENECA NATION HERITAGE
A presentation by a member of the Seneca Nation on the history and heritage of the Seneca people in the Allegheny region — in traditional regalia.
THE LUMBER ERA
Travel back to the great timber boom that transformed the Allegheny region — when massive log rafts floated downriver to the mills and the forests fueled a young nation's growth.
OIL HISTORY
Step back to the dawn of the American oil industry, born along these very waters. Presented by a historian in period attire.

The author of the Odyssey's commemorative book presents on the ecology, environment, and remarkable history of the Allegheny — exploring themes of fire and ice, resilience, and the river's deep connections to America's past.
